Hello, I’m SeungGi Hong. Currently, I lead the internal design team at Domino’s Pizza Japan as a manager/senior designer, where I oversee the design strategy and execution of various digital & print creatives and campaigns.

Born and raised in Seoul, I majored in Metalwork & Jewelry in university but realized that compared to creating things for myself, I like designing products for many people even better. The thought made me embark on a journey spanning across Japan and the Netherlands where I gained knowledge in user research, tech and human centered-design.

I also have acquired a global mindset living in various countries (China, The UK, The Netherlands) experiencing with different multi-nationals, all of which have shaped me into a well-rounded designer.

In my professional career, I have worked on digital creatives including UI/UX, branding, web design, art direction and design system. Currently I’m focusing on developing user-experience in mobile app/web and improving creatives performance in digital marketing.

I joined Domino’s as the first in-house digital designer for the first time in its 33-year history. Over the last 6 years I have been involving in establishing a new standard for digital creatives and enhancing digital channels sales. Working at Domino’s is the definite opportunity how I am fascinated by e-commerce, retail industry and FMCG products. It is exciting to see user behavior and how my creatives are acting as a trigger in food-ordering process.

Before joining Domino’s Pizza, I worked as the sole designer for a small-sized Japanese B2B companies called IFIS Co., Ltd. (full-time) and Value Drivers Inc. (part-time), where I worked in a very wide range of areas – web design, website building and operation using WordPress, logo design, social post design and Ads banners design etc.,

In any domain, whether B2B or B2C, my mission is always to create best user experience based on my deep understanding of users, business and strategies. Building something big as a team – I found myself that I feel more happy when the achievement came as a big apple tree, not an single apple.

Outside of work, you can find me running in parks in Tokyo or along Han-river in my hometown of Seoul, where I occasionally travel.

Drop me a line here if you have any questions and I’d be happy to answer.
